F. William Hessmer, IV is a founding partner of the law firm of Thomason and Hessmer, LLC. He is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and the Washington College of Law, American University. Mr. Hessmer’s legal practice focuses on estate planning, international estate planning, estate and trust administration, federal estate and gift taxation, state estate taxation, tax planning, business entity formation and planning, non-profit entity creation and planning, guardianship, elder law, and other related practice areas, with individuals, families, non-profit organizations and small businesses. Evelyn Betts Thomason is a graduate of Drake University in accounting and the Washington College of Law at American University. Ms. Thomason’s legal practice focuses on tax planning and estate planning with individuals and small businesses, including consultation on family wealth transfer, charitable giving techniques, life insurance trusts, revocable trusts, generation skipping transfers and planning with families to make care arrangements for disabled family members. Ms. Thomason has broad experience in the administration of estates, trusts and guardianships. She has lectured and written extensively on estate planning and legal problems of the elderly.
